What do you get when you combine a degree in Political Science, a career in secret military operations, a great personality, and an unquenchable love of all things magical? You get Ben Salinas - Magic for the New Millennium!

    Ben has been amazing audiences for over 21 years with his unique style of magic and mind reading. His interest began in high school after seeing a magic show by a local magician. The following years were filled with conventions, lectures, workshops, and (of course) hundreds of hours of practice. Along the way, Ben earned a degree in Political Science from Penn State University as well as diplomas from the Air Force Intelligence School and the prestigious Defense Language Institute in Monterey, California.

   After working as an Intelligence Analyst/Interrogator for the U.S. Air Force, Ben spent several years living and performing in Key West, Florida where he quickly became a feature at the world famous Sloppy Joe's Bar. Ben is personally responsible for over 50 signed cards stuck to the 2-story high ceiling of the bar!

   While at Penn State, Ben co-founded the Penn State Performing Magicians; the first collegiate-sponsored professional magicians group. The Magicians are featured performers at the exclusive PSU Presidential Tailgates attended by University Regents, dignitaries, and the heads of major corporations. Ben and the Penn State Magicians have published 5 acclaimed books on magic for the magic community's inner circle.

   Throughout 1998 & 1999 Ben was a featured performer for Caesars Resorts & Casinos. Ben has also performed on cruise ships, trains, for membes of Congress, film and television stars, professional athletes, and the U.S. military. Ben is an active creator of magical effects and has been published in MAGIC Magazine, the largest magician-only trade magazine.

   Ben is a member of the International Brotherhood of Magicians, and was recently nominated for membership in the exclusive British Magic Circle.    When he's not busy with magic, Ben enjoys playing music, languages (he speaks three), politics, martial arts (a Purple Belt in Chinese Kenpo), and his newest hobby: contact juggling. Ben currently resides in State College, Pennsylvania with his beautiful wife Jennifer and their 1-year old daughter; Emma. Ben performs extensively in the PA/New Jersey/New York tri-state area.
